Live in carer finds a home base in our shared house.
One of our latest tenants has worked for years as a live in carer. She has had long term employment contracts and has made her home wherever her employer is. She has had contracts in many places around the UK and further afield. She loves her work and finds it extremely rewarding, but she has missed having a home to call her own.
She decided recently that she needed a place to call home but with her spending long periods away with work she thought that a a house or a flat would be costly but also she was worried about leaving the house vacant for long periods of time.
Through her Church she met someone who is a good friend of our business who suggested she considered a house share. She contacted us and decided that a house share could be a perfect solution. We had a vacancy coming up in a 3-bed house share with 2 other long-term tenants. It had a large, spacious room and access to an attic room which we agreed she could use as a sewing room. She was delighted with the house when she saw it and moved in quickly.
She still works away and is currently on one of the Scottish Islands caring for someone. On her last trip home, she enjoyed some gardening which she hasn’t been able to do for many years.
At this point in time a shared house is the perfect solution for her.
