Application Process for a House Share

For private individuals, our easy 5 step process helps us to get to know you, the type of property that you need and will be happy living in:

5 step process

1. We arrange an informal telephone call with you to discuss your needs, suitability and we can discuss the properties availability. We will also ask about affordability, references from landlords and employers and any bad debt or criminal history. You can also ask us anything.

2. If we both want to move forward we then have a meeting where we get to know you more and find the best property and fit with our other tenants to ensure you’re happy.

3. We’ll provide details of available properties which fit your criteria

4. Reference checks and credit checks are carried out at no cost to you.

5. If everything goes well with referencing then we then aim to make you an offer.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We cary out employer reference checks along with an affordability check on all potential tenants.

Applicants receiving benefits can apply. We might ask for a guarantor if there is a query about affordability.

A good landlord reference is essential.

  • It’s when 3 or 4 unrelated people all live in the same house. They each rent a private lockable bedroom and then share the bathroom, kitchen and other communal areas with their house mates. Its like students living together (but better behaved). House shares are common in large cities where renting a full house is too expensive. It can also be a way to afford living in a better standard of accommodation than you might be able to afford on your own.

  • • Our weekly/monthly rent includes all of your bills so there is nothing else in the home you have to pay for or organise.
    • Broadband is supplied at no extra charge.
    • There are washing machines in most homes. Some also have tumble dryers and dishwashers.
    • There are no hidden extras so no unexpected bills.
    • We are local responsive landlords.
    • All our properties are fully furnished so there are lower start up costs.

Carrying out reference checks on potential tenants is a key part of what we do. We look at housing history, employment references and credit checks.

  • If you would like to know more about house sharing we are happy to have a no obligation chat with you. We will ask you lots of questions and assess your suitability.

You can ask any questions you have, we can tell you about some of our current properties and tell you about any properties that are coming up.
